Seven Lessons

without comments

Coming to the end of August, I’ve learnt a few things.

1) I’m actually less disciplined than I thought and Mr. Market has taught me a valuable lesson on the reality of risk and on effective money management to obtain the maximum payout with the least amount of stress. Someone up there is alive and is listening.

2) This is related to the first lesson which was to cultivate patience. This invaluable trait can not only be immensely profitable to possess in the capital markets but also prevent sleepless nights and minimise unneccessary risk.

3) I know what I don’t know and that I should start harvesting on the first and second points to consistently increase my knowledge on the above subject matter in order to be able to apply what I learnt when the time calls, accumulating actual battle experience.

4) After meeting Endy today, I had a good glimpse into what it takes to do the job of a private banker, which in itself there are many things to learn and do, while living with the current limitations before entering the arena. I’d have to do a few things differently in order to achieve what I needed. When the time comes for me to throw my hat into the ring, I’d like to win a sure thing.

5) Each day is a blessing and it’s time to start living. I plan to start taking my first piano/keyboard lesson very soon. In addition after bringing my golf clubs from Jakarta to Singapore, it is also high time to kickstart a weekly driving routine to work on my swing. Hopefully Kat’ll follow suit.

6) My weekday morning jogging sessions have to be continued. Both my health and stamina are at stake.

7) Sufficient rest is important. Back to sleep.
